This year’s artwork is entitled Roots of Kindness.

"The Many Nations Longhouse has provided me with unwavering support and a strong sense of community since the moment I arrived. Growing up, I was drawn to graffiti and the bold energy it creates when layered over printed photographs or newspapers. Inspired by that visual intensity, I wanted to express my appreciation and gratitude to the Native community here through an artwork that immediately captures the viewers attention. By layering markers and pencil work inspired by traditional patterns over an almost Impressionist digital print of the Longhouse, I created a piece that reflects my own artistic voice — a “Nina” twist on a place that has become my second home. I am incredibly grateful to be part of this family, and I will continue to carry and share my love for this space with others. This piece is my way of showing love, so thank you."
