Get connected with the 3x3x3 LACE Community Building Tool
In large communities, it’s easy for people to feel disconnected. The 3x3x3 LACE Community Building Tool creates intentional micro-connections that help people feel seen, heard and valued. It allows members of our community to participate at their own pace, without adding another responsibility to our plates. It helps to strengthen collective wellness across our campus and the surrounding community. The 3x3x3 tool is a gentle invitation to engage in ways that feel authentic and sustainable, helping us grow stronger together. It is one of several tools that comprise the LACE Framework.
Step 1: Choose 3 People
Reflect on your current season. If you are in the season of giving, pick three colleagues to encourage, welcome, or reconnect with.
Step 2: Share 3 Messages
Share an authentic message, inspiration or encouragement with each person. Messages should be uplifting and free of bias.
Step 3: Repeat 3 Times a Year
Connect with three different people at a pace that feels sustainable—three times per quarter or three times per year.

Employee Assistance Program
- UO contracts with Canopy to provide a comprehensive employee assistance program (EAP) for eligible employees and their dependents at no cost to the employee.
- Applicable services include personal and crisis related counseling, web resources, and custom in person or virtual workshops. They also feature resources related to current events, including the Israel-Hamas Conflict.
- University Human Resources regularly includes information about the EAP in communications to campus and maintains web resources that are accessible to all employees.
