Weaving New Beginnings: Community Connections

Date: October 16, 2019, Time: 5:00–7:00 p.m. Location: Erb Memorial Union (EMU), Ballroom, RSVP

The Division of Student Life is pleased to announce the 25th celebration of Weaving New Beginnings, a networking reception to welcome all students, faculty, and staff of color and their allies. This year’s event includes heavy appetizers; opportunities to network with faculty, staff, and students of color; and tabling with student and university resources. We hope you will join us for this wonderful tradition and exciting event.

Historically, Weaving New Beginnings and Community Connections were separate annual events. Each proved to be vital in the retention of students, staff, and faculty of color. After decades of being individual events, they are now combined to bring faculty and staff of color together with students of color to promote networking, education, and mentoring opportunities.

The event is offered through a collaboration by the Division of Student Life and the Division of Equity and Inclusion’s Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence.
