Norma Trefren is the Assistant Director of CMAE. In addition to her leadership role, Norma’s responsibilities focus on the support and retention of Native American students at the UO. Norma is an enrolled citizen of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Norma is a first generation college student and a transfer student, who earned her AAOT from Chemeketa and her Bachelor’s degree from Portland State University. Outside of work, Norma enjoys spending time with her friends and family, specifically spending time outdoors with her teenage son and their dog, Iris.
