Ruth Huang (She/Her/她) joins the Division of Equity and Inclusion with 6 years of experience working with students in secondary and higher education. As a CaCE Program Associate, Ruth collaborates with campus colleagues and community partners to facilitate student success programs for underrepresented students and develops opportunities that enrich and build community. Ruth discovered her passion for working with students during her undergraduate years at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and then later pursued a master’s degree in education at Seattle University. Originally from Taiwan, Ruth lived in Taiwan, Singapore, and China before moving to the U.S. Her desire to nurture diverse and inclusive environments stems from her multicultural upbringing. Outside of work, Ruth likes walking in nature, playing video games, and hanging out with her cats Binx and Fuchhe.
