Jamar Bean is the Multicultural Center Program Advisor. In addition to his role as program advisor, Jamar’s responsibilities focus on building and connecting cultural communities and student unions. Jamar comes to UO from Oregon State University where he worked in Orientation and focused his work on supporting diverse student populations, primarily students of color. Prior to that, Jamar worked at the UO as a Student Services Coordinator in the College of Education. Jamar is a native Houstonian and a graduate of Oregon State University. Outside of his work he enjoys making memories with his wife, son and daughter.
