2019 PRIDE Art

Spawning Cycle, 2019

Collin Nathaniel Chavez McCormack (Chichimeca Tribe)

Alcohol Marker on Bristol Board

This year’s artwork is Spawning Cycle.

"In both light and darkness we're born. In both light and darkness we depart. To spawn and age, we live on through generations. Traveling through this circle is the movement of all life no matter the direction it comes from. Sprinkled roses are a sign of protection from any dangers on this path we all take. Tread the water calmly and it will all come full cycle. "

Collin Nathaniel Chavez McCormack is an alumni of the University of Oregon. During his time here he was NASU Co-Director and a Longhouse Asst. Steward.
