Engaging a Flourishing Community
Our division co-creates a community where purpose, growth, well-being, and resilience are centered.
By connecting people from different backgrounds and perspectives to reflect on our work, we gain insights on how to improve our campus for everyone, and share joy.
Events for Everyone
Our events offer opportunities to connect, relate, reflect and share joy!
Applied Theatre Programs
We offer storytelling workshops and opportunities for Ducks to use theatrical skills to address real-world issues. This enhances critical thinking, encourages collaboration and fosters communication skills. Read more about these programs on our Intertwined blog or follow Rehearsals for Life on Instagram.
Employee Engagement Grants Program
Our Employee Engagement Grants Program fosters innovative, sustainable improvements to workplace and learning environments. This commitment to employees’ professional growth helps the university attract and retain top talent.
Executive Coaching
Our Executive Coaching Program builds capacity among mid-level leaders. Coaching creates awareness, generates action and facilitates learning as well as growth. We work towards creating a coaching culture at the UO as a resource for our leadership, faculty, alumni and others.
Interfaith Programming
Our faith and spirituality programs offer opportunities for faculty and staff to form authentic connections. Throughout the year, events including Interfaith Night, Peace Feast, Ramadan, Passover, and Love Thy Neighbor help people form connections and build relationships while learning about other faiths, religions and belief systems.
SOULS Framework
To help us retain talented faculty, the division uses the SOULS framework to determine what is working well and what needs to change in higher education. There are five principles that anchor the SOULS framework: Safety, Organizational Accountability, Unvarnished Truth Telling, Love, and Spirituality. SOULS fosters an environment where everyone can thrive, and each voice is valued.
Strategies Groups
These employee affinity groups were created to build community and connection amongst faculty and staff with similar interests.

Writing Consultations
& Workshops
Write@Work is a 6-week series of 1-hour virtual journaling sessions that allow employees to reflect and journal during the workday. Facilitated by a published author, Write @ Work themes include timely journal prompts that promote personal growth. Participants have shared that the collective experience enhances wellbeing.
Our writing consultant offers tailored 1:1 writing consultation for faculty members and graduate students and supports the facilitation of writing groups, workshops and retreats. While writing support is tailored to each individual client, this work typically falls into two broad categories: writing coaching and developmental editing. These consultation services are available to all.
