Academic Advisor, Native American Retention Specialist

Stephanie Tabibian is an enrolled member of the Shoshone Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Indian Reservation. She has a mixed heritage of Native American, Scottish, and Armenian. In 2014 Tabibian graduated from the University of Oregon (UO) with a Bachelors’ of Science in Planning, Public Policy, and Management. While pursuing her degree, Tabibian served as a Co-Director of the Native American Student Union and planned several large Native American events for the campus community. Throughout her academic career she served as the Assistant Steward at the UO Many Nations Longhouse and helped develop curriculum for one of her tribal languages, Shoshone, at UO Northwest Indian Language Institute. She currently serves as a board member for Duck Valley Western Shoshone Inc. In the future, Stephanie plans to attend graduate school.
