Meet Dr. Gordon C. Nagayama Hall

Gordon C. Nagayama Hall, Ph.D.

Interm Director, Center on Diversity and Community

Gordon is the Associate Director of Research in the Center on Diversity and Community and Professor of Psychology at the University of Oregon. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Hall was previously a professor of psychology at Kent State University and the Pennsylvania State University. His research interests are in Asian American physical and mental health. Dr. Hall is currently investigating the effects of stereotypes on mental health among Chinese international students. He served as President of the Asian American Psychological Association (AAPA) and received the AAPA Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Hall also served as President of the American Psychological Association Society for the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues and received the Society's Distinguished Career Contributions to Research Award.
